Arizona has an opportunity to proactively plan its transportation future. Building upon conversations that have occurred statewide about challenges, opportunities and the future; Arizona is crafting a strategy to implement a long-term transportation vision. We’ve heard that people value time with their families, not long commutes that take them away from their children. We’ve listened to people talk about the beauty of Arizona and the importance of protecting sensitive areas. We understand the importance of protecting hometown values and connecting people and places.

Our responsibility is to translate these core values into a roadmap for making transportation investment decisions. We need your help. Let’s continue this open dialogue about y/our transportation future. What improvements should be made that will affect the way we commute, travel to work, connect to shopping and schools, and move throughout Arizona? What is our strategy, priorities and funding options? It is y/our decision to make Arizona a better place for all of us.

We, ADOT, believe our residents want workable common sense solutions built on fairness, respect and trust. We’re all accountable for what we do and how we do it. What kind of conversation will we have with our children or grandchildren? What evidence will they have, to see whether or not we planned and invested on their behalf wisely?

Let’s roll our sleeves up and together, prepare to make informed, forward thinking decisions about how we’ll move and invest in our future transportation options. We can do something about our future, now. It may not be easy, but worthy of moving forward together.
